Join the team and help make the Pumpkin Chuck Festival 2026 a smashing success! We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with various aspects of the event. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community, meet new people, and be part of a fun and exciting event.

Volunteer Jobs:

  • Set-Up Crew: Help set up tents, tables, and signs before the event starts.
  • Clean-Up Crew: Help break down up tents, tables, and signs after the event is over.
  • Trebuchet Operators: Assist with the operation and safety of our trebuchets during the event.
  • PLEASE NOTE: all trebuchet operators are required to sign a release of responsibility waiver before they will be permitted behind the safety barriers.
  • Food & Beverage Support: Help manage food and beverage stations, ensuring vendors have what they need.
  • Composting & Recycling Assistants: Educate attendees on proper composting and recycling practices and manage composting stations.
  • General Support: Assist wherever needed, including directing attendees and providing information.

Officially Tracked Volunteers

Some volunteers need to register directly through Cincinnati Parks so their participation can be officially documented. Please use the Cincinnati Parks volunteer process if you are:

  • A volunteer wanting help with trebuchet operation during the Pumpkin Chuck.
  • A student who needs verified volunteer or service hours for high school, college applications, transcripts, service requirements, or another organization.
  • Anyone who needs official documentation of their volunteer hours through Cincinnati Parks.

If one of these applies to you, please follow the Cincinnati Parks volunteer registration process rather than the general Pumpkin Chuck volunteer form.

  1. Visit the Cincinnati Parks Volunteer Portal: Find the Pumpkin Chuck volunteer opportunity and register.
  2. Complete the Required Waiver: Complete any Cincinnati Parks forms or waivers required for participation.
  3. Select Your Opportunity: Choose the appropriate volunteer role or opportunity and complete your registration.
